The Kiwanis Club of Dover-Foxcroft has achieved Silver-level Today Club status for the 2016-17 Kiwanis year. 
Unrestricted gifts from our club members
to the Kiwanis Children's Fund reached a
per-member giving average of US$25.
Kids need Kiwanis.  Our club's support
ensures that we can reach the children
who need us most.

Kiwanis names new officers for 2014-2015
Dennis Lyford thanked the club for selecting him as its president and promised to promote membership growth and to expand the school backpack programs in Dover-Foxcroft and Guilford.
  Over 50 people attended the Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Club's annual dinner held at the Bear's Den Restaurant on September 30th.  The Kiwanis Club installed its new officers and directors and presented several awards to its members.
  The new officers are as follows:  Dennis Lyford, president; Deb Somers, president elect; Will Wedge, vice president; Barbara Moore, treasurer; Pat Ryan, secretary; Grace Hague, assistant secretary and assistant treasurer; and Bob Moore, immediate past president.  Board of Directors: Tim Hague, Tom Gerrish, Joe Guyotte, Marilyn Hartford, Brian Woodworth, Harold Sherman, and Woody Woodworth.
  Barbara Moore was presented with the Hixson Medal, an award from Kiwanis International recognizing her work in our Club.  Tom Gerrish and Cindy Woodworth were presented with Red Jackets.  Tom was selected for his many years of service and Cindy for her work in developing the club website.

Two members of the Kiwanis Club of Dover-Foxcroft, Jody Arno and Eddie Lewis were presented with the George Hixson Award
 at their Annual Installation of Officers Banquet held at the American Legion Hall.  Medals and pins were awarded by Past Lt. Governor Robert Moore to the two well-deserving recipients. 
Both members are known to have worked
 many volunteer hours at the Kiwanis Park
and several other events.
Hixson Fellows receive a commemorative tie tack/lapel pin and two numbered medallions hanging from blue-and-white ribbons: one encased in a walnut box for display, and one to be worn. George F. Hixson Fellows are named in honor of the first Kiwanis International President.
Hixson dedicated 50 years of his life in service to Kiwanis.

Annual New England District Convention in Leominster, Mass
August 18, 2012

George Barton, Barbara Moore, Robert Moore, Jan Barton attended the Annual New England and Bermuda Kiwanis District Convention in Leominster, Massachusetts.  Barbara Moore, Treasurer, Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Club and Jan Barton, President, Three Rivers Kiwanis Club of Milo and Brownville, received 
"I CARE" certificates
in honor of 
"25 YEARS of WOMEN in KIWANIS".  Robert Moore, LT. Governor of Division 2, received the International INSPIRATION Award.  Jan Barton, President, Three Rivers, also was presented with Outstanding and Distinguised President Award for the New England District of Kiwanis International for her outstanding leadership, her professionalism and dignity throughout the year.  Division 2 Lt. Gov. Moore made this nomination.   Congratulations!!

 Annual New England District Convention in Leominster, Mass, August 2012

Lt. Gov. Bob Moore was presented with the International Inspiration Award for his exceptional leadership and work with a Div. 2 club during the 2011-2012 year.  Kiwanis International President Alan Penn had asked each Governor of every District in the world to nominate an outstanding leader for awards in six different categories: the fields were then narrowed down to the top five in these various categories. Governor of the New England District of Kiwanis International, Vesta Browne, nominated Moore for the award. Bob Moore, a member of the Kiwanis Club of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, and Lt. Gov. of Division 2, attended the Convention accompanied by Treasurer, Barbara Moore, Immediate Past President Brian Woodworth, Cindy Woodworth, President Rita Page and Past Lt. Gov.  Harold "Doc" Sherman.
